Awesome console.collector must item
Great console the 16 bit king "The best console ever made." The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (most commonly known as the SNES) is definitely the best console ever made. Nowadays, it seems like the consoles’ creators base everything on graphics and all that loads of crap. The SNES had good graphical capabilities, but its amazing selection of games and lasting appeal is what really made it such a great console. In fact, I think it’s the best console ever made. Graphical Capabilities: 9.5/10 The SNES’s graphics were awesome! At first, the games looked okay, yet still had some early games with great graphics (Zelda comes to mind). By the time the SNES had died out, its graphics were maxed out in a few games, and they were very impressive. (Take a look at Chrono Trigger) To add to the regular graphics, there was also the SuperFX and that ugly Mode 7 effect. Some games to point out are Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. Audio Capabilities: 9/10 I shouldn’t have said capabilities, but whatever. Most games I’ve played have excellent music, including those classic Mario songs. I’d like to point out the RPG genre in particular, since most RPGs for SNES featured some excellent music. The Final Fantasy series especially had some awesome fitting music. Game Library: 10 This is why the Super Nintendo is such a great system. It has just so much games in so many different genres. Super Nintendo was hot during the “Golden Age” of RPGs, so it of course had many great RPGs. Among them were Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV through VI, Secret of Mana, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and even some that weren’t released in America such as Seiken Densetsu 3 and Tales of Phantasia. Other genres also had awesome games, like Donkey Kong Country. Sports games include Madden, NBA Jam, F-Zero, and others. Gosh, there’s just so many. If you have a Super Nintendo, your collection of games can’t be complete without at least one Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country, Metroid, Super Mario, and all of those other great games. Lasting Appeal: 10/10 This system will always live on with me, no matter what, and I’m positive it still lives on with others. Why? There’s just no way I’m letting go of my rare Chrono Trigger, and I’m definitely not giving up my other games. Final Word Although it’s old, and it’s not rare and/or expensive. While no more games are in production, I’d still recommend that you buy a SNES. It has all of those great games, with great graphics and sound to back that up. After all, it IS the best system ever made. So go out and get one!
