PayPal ONLY invariably - for mutual security. If a buyer wishes another method, this may be possible by arrangement - in which case the potential buyer must email me BEFORE bidding on the item or using the Buy it Now option.
Delivery information
Postage for most items are indicated as Sellers Standard Rate for which I use second class post for small items and standard parcels for larger items. If a buyer wishes first class post, this is of course available on request BEFORE payment is made. Where ParcelForce 48 is specified, the price quoted is for Zone 1 in the UK. Zones 2 and 3 (UK) carry a ParcelForce surcharge, so to avoid confusion I recommend that you check with me FIRST before payment so I may update the postage charge - Zones 2 and 3 refer to the more remote parts of Scotland and the Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland.
Disapproved communications
I will not respond to the following - requests or inferences relating to selling outside of eBay; requests for a buy-it-now price for an item that is in a standard auction; requests such as 'how much will you take' for an item listing that has a reserve price; requests for additional pictures of an item where the pictures are the sole interest of the enquirer and would clearly be sufficient in themselves and save the enquirer from purchasing the item.
Annoyances
One of my pet annoyances relates to Members with whom I deal, who do not have the courtesy to leave their feedback following a successful transaction. I am not a seeker of eBay feedback points just for the sake of it, but I do feel that as a matter of principle each member should provide feedback after a successful transaction. I always leave feedback - immediately on safe receipt of an item purchased, or following receipt of feedback from a member who has bought an item from me. This way, I can be sure that an item has reached its destination and conversely, that a seller can be assured that I received his/her goods. If anyone is unhappy about a transaction, I would expect a message from them to that effect in order that I can rectify the situation. Hearing nothing at all leaves me guessing - not knowing if the transaction has completed to everyone's satisfaction. In future, if feedback has not been received within the prescribed time I shall block that buyer from bidding on my items.
