Bought the CD because of their association with the New York Dolls and Johnny Thunders, and to a lesser extent, the involvement of members of Sex Pistols, L.A. Guns etc. The music was not as 'trashy' or 'punky' as I might have expected given their history, but I was not massively disappointed - having said that, I was not massively impressed either considering the roll call I had read previously of who had been in the band over the years... It was definitely worth buying for the tracks by the Idols (Jerry Nolan and Killer Kane's short lived band which kind of gave birth to the London Cowboys in the first place) - as far as the London Cowboys go - I know there are better sounding tracks out there cos i have them on a vinyl compilation called 'Trash on Delivery' on Flicknife Records. Why someone would release a compilation album of a long-gone band without a huge cult following without including the best tracks I ever heard defies me.
If you made it this far.... you are already a fan and will want to hear this anyway...not the best band in the world (space already reserved for New York Dolls etc) but an interesting sideline and an essential purchase for a trash fan completist.
