Robert A. Sloan, 53, is a disabled writer and artist who lives with his daughter's family and his faithful Siamese cat. He teaches drawing, colored pencil realism, watercolor painting, oils, acrylics and pastels, and colored Conte crayons.

ACEO miniature artworks, OSWOA artworks, and larger works in graphite pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, pen and ink, acrylics, oils, pastels and colored Conte crayons. His subjects include portraits, landscapes, fantasy art, florals, birds, animals, cats, Asian style brush pen drawings, mythological creatures and anything beautiful, ranging from soft muted colors to brilliant tropical flowers and birds, all with a natural realism and great attention to detail. Watch for new original art in new mediums like scratchboard. Nature is my favorite subject.

Nature documentaries, Dr. Who, if I'm watching television at all, which I usually don't. We got rid of cable six months ago since no one was watching it, I spend my veg-out time at the computer!

My novel Raven Dance is available at Amazon, two short stories were published pro in 2002 and 2003, numerous How-To articles at eHow dot com are paying regular trickle income and I am sending out other fantasy novels for pro publication. Current nonfiction project: Street Sketching I: Portraits, a how to draw book about doing pastel portraits on tinted paper. Writing isn't just what I do, it's who I am. Everything else goes into it and everything I do is something interesting to write about!

Former professional street artist in New Orleans in the 1990s, Robert A. Sloan retired for health reasons and is now completely disabled, but making a comeback online. Social Security is functioning as an arts grant to get his writing and art career going. Watch for his upcoming Robert A.
