Good introduction to Electronics
Simple little kit, very few componentsthat need to be identified (most are pretty self explanitary) the documentation that comes witht he kit is a little sparcebut it's an easy build for an experienced solderer. With supervision this would make an excellent teaching aid as it teaches soldering and component identification, and would allow the student to have something to show for their efforts at the end of it. Could also be coupled with a 'Design and Technology' project to make a suitable case (with power supply/battery). Being 5V input this kit will run from the USB port of a computer or a USB charger, although there is no battery backup so every time the power goes off it'll need to have the time reset.
