We’re a small, family-run business specialising in anything to do with Japanese swords. We aim to sell the best items available and we probably offer the most comprehensive range in Europe. We sell swords, fittings and accessories, tsuka-ito and sageo, and polishing stones via Ebay and through our website, Ryujinswords.com. We also do polishing and restoration, as well as selling parts for Japanese armour. If you don’t see what you want, just ask; we almost certainly have it or can do it. Finally, for those who are interested, the polisher we use studied under a Mukansa polisher.

Free postage, though we don't pay your Customs charges. If your item goes astray, as items sometimes do, we'll replace it. Low cost items, e.g sageo, will be despatched by standard airmail. Expensive items, e.g. tsuba, will shipped by Airsure, a tracked airmail service. Really expensive items, such as swords, will be shipped by a fine arts shipping agency with 100% insurance against total loss or damage so that if the worst happens (highly unlikely) neither of us are out of pocket. Any problems with Customs procedures at your end, we'll try and help. We will however always follow the correct import procedures for your country, because there is no risk to your purchase if everything has been done correctly. Consequently we will not misdescribe items, undervalue them for Customs purposes or try and dodge the correct procedures. In any case, antiques are charged on a lower Customs tariff and in some countries may not be charged at all. Misdescribing might unnecessarily cost you money.

In general, you've got seven days following receipt to decide that you are happy with your purchase. This means that, for swords and polearms, you've got a seven day inspection period to make sure that it is what you wanted. If you change your mind, send it back and we'll refund the sale price. If we've misdescribed an item (e.g. it has a fatal flaw that we didn't mention) we'll refund your return shipping as well.
