My wife and I also run an independent label in the UK www.redgraperecords.com. Music is very simple;- it starts with content. No matter what guitar you have, if you haven't developed your own personality and something to say with it then...so what? The world is full of great sound with no meaning:- muzac. Muzac is not defined by style, but lack of imagination. I've seen covers bands in remote pubs with more heart than Razorlight... In what I do I sometimes get to create great music with great people;- on many occasions, I also have to turd polish to feed my family. The important thing is to do it all with passion, because this is all a musician has. Never patronise your audience, whoever they are. Because you never really know WHO they are. That's not your job. It's not how many notes or how you make the note, it's loving the note. Move people. That's all there is. Phew. I feel much better now.... Calum
