The best audio course if you want to learn a language
1 of 1 found this helpful I'd promised myself that after several aborted attempts, 2014 would be the year I finally learned to speak Spanish. I've tried a number of different audio and book courses, but this is far the most effective.
Rather than concentrating on parroting the answers to specific scenarios like 'going to a restaurant' like many of the courses, Michel Thomas teaches you by building you vocabulary piece by piece, concentrating initially on verbs and words that are similar to English, before expanding your vocabulary in an intuitive way. As there's nothing you need to write down, these are also perfect for learning in the car, great for the dull daily commute.
Overall, I'd highly recommend them.
