My tag was 3mm. I covered with a plaster just to be sure it didn't come off! And within 2 days it had turned black and after 5 days it just fell off! No scar or pain or anything, I completely forgot I had the band on. I would recommend just maybe measure your tag to ensure you buy the right one but for 3mm no problems what so ever!
