    Love this Happy film!!!
I love this film so much so that I bought a 2nd copy to watch after I'd loaned it out. The characters are quirky, the town is way out there and the premise is just pure nonsense but it works!! I've shown it to about twelve of my friends and I always worry they wont like it or they won't get the sometimes very subtle humour because it's not all in-your-face laughs that everyone wants nowadays, but they all love it too and ask to borrow it to show their friends! It has several of those moments you'll find yourself re-enacting in jokes making you look crazy but do you really care? These guys accidentally break out of jail and steal a gay couple's campervan ending up in Happy where they're mistaken for pageant organisers and are expected to put one together. They're not the brightest pair and decide to play along to get some money and get out of there. Steve Zahn is brilliant and his interaction with the pageant entrants is priceless, his first dance scene is something to behold. William H Macy is a stellar addition to the cast as Chappy the Sheriff and takes a shine to Steve's "partner" who has to play along and date him to keep Chappy on side. As they always do, loyalties change, love blossoms, hearts are broken and a real bad guy shows up making it a fun film out of a seemingly normal event in a normal town. All in all a fun, heartwarming comedy. A real gem.
