Holly Cole - Don't Smoke in Bed - CD Review
Holly Cole is one of Canada’s Premier Female Jazz Vocalists. As a lover of all things Canadian: I found Holly Cole to have a unique voice with an unusual twist. If you take fellow Canadian; Diana Krall, and add richness and versatility to the vocals – you get Holly Cole. In this CD Album: ‘Don't Smoke in Bed', Holly sings some rather quirky songs in not-so-typical Jazz style. Combining her own style into these songs adds a uniqe twist to some well known songs. The most comical rendition being the song 'Everything I got'. The best song on the Album has to be Holly's rendition of 'Que Sera' - which she sang on an episode of Due South. It's immense! The Holly Cole Trio denotes some of her best Jazz work, and is recommended to all fans of Holly Cole, Jazz or Easy Listening music!

Holly Cole - Best of Holly Cole CD Review
Holly Cole is one of Canada’s Premier Female Jazz Vocalists. As a lover of all things Canadian: I found Holly Cole to have a unique voice with an unusual twist. If you take fellow Canadian; Diana Krall, and add richness and versatility to the vocals – you get Holly Cole. In this CD Album: ‘The Best Of’, Holly has taken timeless hits such as "I Can See Clearly Now", but most emotionally is her rendition of Elvis Costello's passionate "Alison". Her varied, nuanced delivery makes Costello sound like a rubbish pub-singer. This is without a doubt all of her best hits on one CD – the only songs missing from this wonderful CD are “Que Sera” and my favourite Holly Cole song; “Neon Blue”. Totally recommended for anyone interested in Jazz, Easy Listening or Emotional Music!
