The best budget amp/dac for the money.
Just to let you know from the start this is not the best portable amp/DAC on the planet. What the NX4 is though, is the best amp/DAC for £110.. at this moment in time that I have tried. The only other amp/DAC that comes close is the fiio Q1 MK2 but that is designed for soulless apple users and had too many issues that I couldn't cope with. The NX4 without any balanced outputs is far more powerful than the fiio and has a clean sound with no hiss or pops or crackles. It has a separate micro usb input for the DAC and another for charging. Some reviews have said at low volume that there is an imbalance in the sound stage but I can honestly say that this is not present on my model. I currently use a LG V20 as my player with flac. files and using audio technica M40x headphones get a fantastic sound stage with good separation and an excellent punch to the bass. The vocals can be a little forward on some female voice songs but it's very bearable considering the price point. Overall excellent.
