One of my all time favourite films - so good, that when I loaned it out on video it never came back! Had to buy it again, but the time had come to get it on DVD. The DVD itself is straightforward in that it has no special features to speak of, so basically you get the film and that's it. The film is a joy - a "fairy story" with heroes and villains, fights, bizarre characters, great lines and lots of humour - I suspect much of it tongue in cheek. A family film which will appeal to children and adults alike. If you are ever in need of I lift, I recommend this film as a good antidote.

Loved it.
Bought as a Christmas present for my 14 year old niece; played it before wrapping with no great expectations as I haven't seen the film. Really loved it, to my surprise. Lots of recognisable tracks to sing along to should the desire take you. The actors have good singing voices and produce great cover versions. I would quite like to see the movie now!

Arielle Dombasle - Amor Amor (CD 2006)
I first heard this and was taken by it in a restaurant in France and loved it so much I sought it out. Many of the songs on the CD are fairly short and evoke a similar mood and have a similar approach; I think they serve well as laid back background music. A few different languages feature on the CD but otherwise the songs are familiar "classics". Apparently, Mlle Dombasle has had a interesting romantic life - I'm not sure whether her sultry but slightly sweet voice belies or reflects this! However, for me it definitely evokes a low lights, slightly sultry, jazzy feel, which would well suit a cocktail party or dinner.
