What is covered by my P&P charge? A quality, featherpost padded envelope @ 50p, or £1 for huge size (bought from corner shop, no mark-up). Any materials, such as bubblewrap. Finally, a percentage of fixed costs - printing postage labels, running a computer, travel to Post Office. On average, these costs are offset at 50p on top of the actual cost of Royal Mail delivery.
Lost Post
I have had twelve items go missing in over two thousand deliveries. Should you be one of the unlucky ones, I will try contacting my local sorting office. If no luck, I print out a claim form, fill it in, photocopy and attach your proof of posting, and add an envelope so that you can claim directly from Royal Mail. I don't claim on your behalf, as should the missing parcel arrive at a later date, I would have to refund Royal Mail, and ask you to pay again! I hope that the simpler method is acceptable. If you are abroad, I will claim on your behalf, and forward the refund, when Royal Mail refunds me.
