Hi there, I agree with your comments regarding the P&P charges. Although I don't advertise the likely cost on my sales, I do travel to the PO (by car) to pay a fee for parking in order to obtain the correct postage cost to the buyer. Under the new system I was left a negative feedback for postage charges, presumably because I re-used packaging. I only charged the fee for posting the item, didn't charge for the packaging, and I certainly never inflated the cost to the buyer for my time and trouble in obtaining the correct price for them to pay me. I've even been left out of pocket on some items when I got the cost of postage only to discover the postage charges had risen when I returned the following day.

Hi,I totally agree with your views on postal charges.It is sad,however,that certain individuals feel the need to be abusive.If they are that aggrieved,just do not bid - find an alternative! I am very fair with my charges,but still find that I am marked down on the stars. Keep up the good work on the reviews - some things just need to be said !!! Regards, Anne

Just read your comments on P+P charges and I couldn't agree more. I've already taken issue with Ebay over the P+P charges part of the star rating system as I feel many buyers will leave less than 5 stars due to not understanding what costs are involved. I worked out recently that on many items I actually lose money (only a few pence) due to the costs of buying proper packaging so that PCs and laptops are sent out properly. I've also said to people in the past when I've been buying goods that I'd rather pay a bit more and make sure my goods arrive in 1 piece. Anyway thanks for your guide and I hope many other people pay attention to what you have said. Thanks

I completley agree with you, I do the same at my PO. I leave my parcels and they tend to them when there not busy, and with the rising cost of petrol and packaging more buyers need to take it into account. Well done for bringing this article to peoples attention maybe more buyers will take these things into account when they bid on an item. Keep up your good work!
