FujiFilm FinePix X-S1 Fuji Digital Bridge Camera 12 Megapixels 26x Optical Zoom

Simply excellent value for your money
If you want a very high end bridge camera that gives pretty much the same experience as a DSLR and functions in a very similar fashion the Fuji X-S1 is worth a look. I am very happy with the build quality, it feels nice in your hands with a bit of weight but not too heavy. the images that come out of the camera are great, its reasonable in low light and the onboard flash seems to be pretty decent. Add a 24-600mm+ zoom, f2.8 at 24mm and it just gets better. All in its a very versatile camera, easy to use but also able to offer all of the manual functionality you may want. The Macro modes are both great, and did I mention the fuji optics.......... they do make nice glass. Its a near perfect camera for throwing in a bag and taking on holiday, which is exactly what I got mine for. Add a couple of aftermarket batteries for a fiver each from ebay and your ready for most anything you will meet on your holidays. These are extremely good value for your money in my opinion, I am happy with mine and run DX and FX Nikons with decent fast glass normally so it had its work cut out to make a decent impression which it has.

Blackberry Storn 9500
I like the design, the screen is clear and bright, I like the fact that the touch screen requires you to actually push it, this stops accidental selection of items, I dont like that the screen is not completely accurate or it could be that I that I have big fingers and this causes problems, learned to compensate and rarely get a mis selection while using touch screen now. Camera quality ok, like its image capture funtion, video fine, display good, media centre works well. I bought this primarily to use the internet on and its good for that, using it for a lot more as well. Loads of apps/accessories available and if you buy second hand not too expensive, way cheaper than an iphone. Easy to unlock, cost me a few pounds, teamed to 02 simlicity pay as you go to get blackberry services, 300 mins to any phone, free text unlimited texts and 1gb dataOverall Iam happy with this phone, looks good and easy to use. Good way to get a decent smart phone for little money.

Decent cheap telephoto lens, worth considering if your on a budget.
I bought this to replace a 100-300mm Trumbone style lens, I liked the quality of the images that this lens gave and was looking for a similar lens with a faster autofocus. The autofocus is faster and the ultrasonic motor is quieter so thats another plus. The older version has a better macro function from the looks but I did not buy the lens for this. It is well built with a metal mount like the other 100-300mm I have and the body appears to well constructed. Compared to my 55-250mm IS lens it weighs a lot however this does help to steady the camera while shooting without a tripod. Same quality as the older trumbone version but not as long and faster, basically just what I wanted. It is crisp and sharp at 100mm, 200mm is also good 300mm is softer but acceptable considering the price. My friend has a newer 75-300 which gives decent images but I the 100-300 is marginally better and they can be picked up for sensible money.(Often cheaper than the 75-300 version) I would give this a 7 out of 10 for image quality and a 9 out of 10 for price, £65.00 for the lens boxed with instructions and a genuine canon hood takes some beating.
