eBay My World: woodies1978( 721)

Hi, I'm Dave and my wife Claire, we are a typical young-ish (31,30) couple with 2 dogs, 3 cats overpriced 3 bed semi, 5 chickens, small veggie plot and a baby on the way. On E-bay to try and pay the mortgage for an extra month or so...hmmmm....

I will sell anything I don't use regularly, I don't see the point in having it in the house if it's not being used (apart from tools that is(bloke thing isn't it!)

Claire's department, favourite's are baby things at the mo but also anything that might be considered a bargain.

Certainly isn't money, hopeing that will change!

Myself and my wife earn above the UK average for our age (31&30), we get a mortgage, the animals, a harley, everything is great apart from 1 niggly thing, I want to work for me, then, the recession!! Claire loses her job, gets another but only after any savings have gone and with a much lower pay, every month is now a struggle, the harley is at the workshop for the 4th time and they are refusing to sort it so paying finance for nothing and can't even give it back and then find out Claire is pregnant! Hmmm, timing springs to mind (happy of course but....). What can I do, been thinking for a few years about starting a toyshop and now Woolies is no more a position has opened in my local town so I come here now to try and gain some business experience, make some money and hopefully end up with a success or if nothing else, a happy wife coz the mortgage is payed, we'll have to see how this works but I guess it's worth a shot!

Always worked physical jobs, long hours, low-medium pay, time for a change, I do hope so.

I'm new to this so intend to stay with the safety net of paypal, cheque or cash but intend to branch out in the future

I am currently trying to set up a deal with my works carrier and am able to send palletised freight fairly cheaply due to my working within the freight industry so watch this space.

The current products I am selling are all personal items but I am looking into new products, statutory procedures will apply
