eBay My World: xxxmadraxxx( 304)

since i was a kid, i've been one of those folks who finds it impossible to walk by a skip or car-boot sale, without having a peek inside- i can never believe the stuff people throw out! for me ebay is like a giant global carboot sale!

pretty much anything i no longer have a use for, which i think someone else might want

again, it can be anything and everything. i tend to frequent the army surplus and computery gadgety sections most - i've bought so many pairs of big clumpy boots off ebay, i'm turning into the amelda marcos of punkrock!

been selling & buying on ebay since 2002. i'm not a powerseller- it's just a hobby for me. but most months i buy or sell at least 1 or 2 things. i try to play by the spirit of ebay - after all, we're all here for a bargain - so anything i ever auction goes on with no reserve, free P&P and with the start price set just to cover the postage. if the item goes for the starting price, the buyer's effectively getting it for free. don't i get burned occasionally? - of course i do. i sold a new £300 nikon camera for £80 about 3 years ago [and the bastard never even left feedback!] on t'other side of the coin, i've also had items sell for double what i paid for them. it's all swings'n'roundabouts, or what i call 'ebay karma'. i cannae stand folks who do stuff like; sell their item cheap but charge for postage 5 times what it costs, put items on at '99p start!' [but with a £30 reserve] or those '£30 start price or buy it now for £29,50' listings. that's not what ebay's about!

paypal, cheques, huge wodges of cash, glass beads, sexual favours ... whatever!

as mentioned in the blurb above - i never charge for postage within the UK. and for postage to europe, you pay exactly what it costs me. i'm not one of those rip-off merchants [like the woman who once posted me something in an old jiffy bag with a 62p stamp, after charging over a fiver for the postage!]
